Preparatory workshop for the survey of traditional practitioners at the University of Abomey-Calavi from 11th-15th March 2024

Over 5 days, the invited experts were invited to refine the questionnaire. The general objective of the workshop is to gather experts to validate the survey questionnaire intended for use in the study conducted among traditional healers in Benin. Specifically, 

1. – Examine each section of the questionnaire to ensure its clarity, relevance, and alignment with the survey objectives.
2. – Gather feedback and suggestions from the attending experts to enhance question formulation and overall questionnaire structure.
3. – Validate the relevance of the data to be collected in each section to ensure the quality and reliability of survey results.
4. – Identify and address any potential issues or gaps in the questionnaire to ensure its capacity to collect precise and useful information.
5. – Facilitate discussion and collaboration among experts to reach a consensus on critical aspects of the questionnaire.
6. – Ensure that the questionnaire considers the specific needs of traditional healers and accurately reflects the reality of their practice
7. – Explore the ethical implications of the research conducted among traditional healers and ensure that ethical principles are upheld throughout the survey process.
8. – Facilitate collaboration among various stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, to ensure the success of the survey and the effective utilization of collected data.
